Voting Information

The League of Women Voters of the San Antonio Area needs your help. Alarming numbers of Vote by Mail applications requesting mail-in ballots are being rejected by local election offices throughout Texas, including in Bexar County, due to non-compliance with the stricter voting requirements enacted last year by the Texas Legislature.

The most common reasons for rejection include the use of the incorrect (older) application and not meeting the state’s new identification requirements. See LWVSA.ORG for more information on where to access the correct application and information on using the correct identification on the application form.

To counter this trend, the League of Women Voters of San Antonio has created the attached document (VBM Flier) to communicate changes in the process to voters so that their applications are accepted and they are able to vote by mail from the safety of their homes in upcoming elections.

Please assist the League in communicating this new process to voters by:

1. Electronically Sharing this document by posting it on your website, highlighting segments on your social media platforms, distributing the document to your members, other organizations, and community members

2. Printing and distributing the document to members of your organization, to faith based organizations, and to your community members.
